Our Jocelyn Ring (named after Jocelyn Bell Burnell and her discovery of pulsars, the universe's brilliant lighthouses), features a sophisticated row of brilliant round diamonds set in gleaming yellow gold with shared prong settings. In 1967, while working as a graduate student at Cambridge University, Jocelyn discovered the first radio pulsars - rapidly spinning neutron stars that emit beams of electromagnetic radiation like cosmic lighthouses, sending regular pulses of light across the universe. Her meticulous analysis of miles of chart paper led her to spot mysterious signals pulsing every 1.3 seconds, initially jokingly called "LGM" (Little Green Men) before being identified as the rotating cores of collapsed stars.
