Natural Emerald - Australian

Emerald is the green variety of the mineral beryl, treasured for its rich colour, natural inclusions and unmistakable depth. While emeralds are rare worldwide, Australian emeralds are rarer still. They occur in only a handful of small deposits across the country, none of which are commercially mined today. The Australian emeralds we encounter now usually come from old collections, estate parcels, or carefully preserved material from earlier fossicking and small-scale mining — each one carrying a quiet piece of Australian geological history.
