2.32ct Australian Sapphire, Bright Blue - Round

A very bright blue sapphire, extremely rare for Australian origin especially of this size and quality. Generally, Australian blues are darkish. Some are lightened yellow crystal areas which often produces teal and green colours. However in this sapphire, rather than yellow it has a clear section that lightens the whole sapphire and doesn't create any green or teal at all, just stunning light and bright blue. Sapphires of this colour with Australian origin are probably as rare or maybe even rarer than pink diamonds. We have seen under ten examples of these blue/clear sapphires in the last 20 years.
