This beautiful Australian Emerald has amazing colour banding, common to emeralds from the Torrington deposit. For an Australian emerald, this piece has few inclusions. The quality of the faceting is excellent and the faceting pattern is very interesting, making this a unique gemstone.

There are a few small black inclusions that can be seen when the emerald is moving in the video, however the black reflections you see in the images and video are actually the camera reflecting back into the stone and are not visible in person.

There are no commercial emerald mines active, so any that are available have been found by fossickers or are from old collections like this piece of Australian history.
