Aquamarine Gemstones | Utopian Creations

Aquamarine belongs to the beryl family — the same mineral species as emerald — and carries the Latin meaning of seawater, a name earned by its luminous range from pale icy blue to deep blue-green teal. Its colour is shaped by iron within the crystal structure, making each stone subtly unique.

Our aquamarines are sourced from all over the world, but our local favourite is O'Brien's Creek near Mt Surprise in Far North Queensland — one of Australia's finest aquamarine localities, known for exceptional clarity and rich saturation. With a Mohs hardness of 7.5–8, aquamarine is well-suited to everyday jewellery, including engagement rings.

Each stone is available to set as a custom piece designed with you from the ground up.
