A lovely piece of completely natural, bright, purplish red ruby crystal framed beautifully in 18k gold. While not your traditional sparkly Ruby, this piece holds true to its creation story, deep within the earth. It was created around 550 million years ago when two parts of Gondwana collided. An amazing story of two bodies becoming one, creating rubies, the gem of love.

This crystal was taken from the earth by shovel, pick and hand. It was mined by farmers in their off-season near a small town in Tanzania. A group called RubyFair organized the tiny mining site using ethical principles to help protect the earth and workers while providing employment and training.

This lovely handmade piece is perfect for everyday wear. It can be worn by itself or collect a little family of Poppy pendants.
