This piece was cut in Australia and the faceting is as near as perfect as possible. With darker gems like this one, high quality faceting makes a huge difference to both the sparkling within the gem and the reflections of the surface of the gem. This sapphire is mainly green but also exhibits sparkling of blue and teal. Completely eye clean of inclusions, as can be seen in the magnified, backlit photo.
